MIAMI, FL., July 1, 2015 – The Conroy Martinez Group today announced that Diana Delgado, an account executive with the company, has been selected as the new president of the University of Florida Association of Hispanic Alumni (UF – AHA.) In this role, Delgado will oversee the operations, fundraising and expansion of the organizations which has a membership of 25,000 alumni across the U.S.

Delgado’s involvement with UF’s Hispanic community began as a student as part of the Hispanic Student Association/Hispanic Heritage Month and the Cuban American Student Association. She was also a member of Gamma Eta Sorority, Inc., as part of the National Multicultural Greek Council. She immediately joined UF – AHA after graduation in 2008, and in 2009 became a part of the UF – AHA board. Since then she has traveled frequently to the university to assist in the planning of the organization’s signature event, and help fundraise for scholarships, among other duties.

“Hispanic students tend to be very closely knit with family and when they get to UF these programs become their family,” said Diana Delgado. “Our goal as alum is to make sure the people coming in don’t have the same problems as us, we want to make it better for them. Basically Hispanics helping Hispanics.”

    Diana Delgado is a bilingual marketing and public relations professional of seven years specializing in corporate, consumer and nonprofit communications with experience in community relations and public affairs. As an Account Executive at The Conroy Martinez Group in Miami, she manages strategic marketing initiatives, media relations and social media for the firm’s corporate, healthcare and retail clients. She holds a bachelor of arts in Spanish from the University of Florida.
