C.L. Conroy, APR

C.L. Conroy has been an expert in public relations and marketing for more than 25 years. Before forming the company 15 years ago, she worked at several of Miami’s top public relations and advertising agencies. Ms. Conroy has designed and implemented campaigns for international, national and regional clients in the consumer products, corporate business, banking, travel and tourism, entertainment, retail, aviation, real estate, education, and health care fields.

She has handled marketing and public relations campaigns for a number of clients. Some of these include The Minute Maid Company, Jim Beam Brands Corporation, the Taubman Company, Rinker Materials Corporation, Florida International University, University of Miami, Air Jamaica, Sandals and Beaches Resorts, Cirque du Soleil, , Aviation Sales Company, American Red Cross, BankUnited and several real estate projects.

Previously, Ms. Conroy was Vice President of Public Relations for a mid-size, $12 million advertising agency. She was a senior account executive with Hank Meyer Associates, who was then the largest P.R. firm in the southeast United States. Ms. Conroy also served in several in-house marketing capacities for AMI-owned Parkway Regional Medical Center, and Hialeah Hospital.

Ms. Conroy is chairman of the Board of Advisors of Teach For America Miami-Dade Chapter, a Trustee and on the Board of Directors for the Greater Miami Chamber of Commerce, and serves as a Vice-Chairman of the Member Retention Committee. She is a past board member of the Advertising Federation of Greater Miami and is past president of the Public Relations Society of America, Miami Chapter. She is a member of the Greater Miami Convention and Visitor’s Bureau, The Beacon Council, SKAL and the Coral Gables Toastmasters. A Miami native, Ms. Conroy has a bachelor’s degree in journalism from the University of Florida.

Jorge Martinez

Jorge Martinez, a fourteen-year veteran of the public relations and marketing fields, is a principal with the firm. He currently serves as the Vice President of the agency and has been with the company for 10 years. He excels in the areas of media relations strategy and is especially well versed in Hispanic marketing. He has handled public relations for a variety of accounts in the corporate, retail, real estate, travel, entertainment, financial, and health care fields.

Before joining The Conroy Martinez Group, he worked for a mid-sized public relations firm where he handled a wide array of accounts such as the South Florida Super Bowl XXIX Host Committee, Federated Department Store’s Burdines, Williams Island, Fisher Island, Miami Children’s Hospital Foundation and Spec’s Music.

Mr. Martinez previously was an account executive in the Consumer Division of Burson Marsteller Public Relations in Miami where he served as primary media liaison for Bacardi Imports, Fisher Island and The Lipton Championships.

Prior to joining Burson, Martinez worked at Hank Meyer Associates, one of the largest public relations firms in the Southeastern United States at that time. During his tenure, he handled publicity and promotions for numerous accounts, including the Miami Seaquarium, Deloitte & Touche, L. Luria & Son and Terranova.

Mr. Martinez received a Bachelor of Science degree in Communications from the University of Miami. Mr. Martinez is a member of the Greater Miami Chamber of Commerce, the Greater Miami Convention & Visitors Bureau, University of Miami Citizen's Board, Latin Builders Association and the Public Relations Society of America. He is fluent in both English and Spanish.
